For the fourth time in the last 7 years, 5 ACC teams were selected to the 64-team field of the NCAA Division I Softball Championship which begins May 18. Georgia Tech will be joined by FSU, Maryland, UNC, and Virginia Tech.

ACC NOW Update - Kuechly and Wilson Ink NFL Deals
Linebacker Luke Kuechly, the No. 9 overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft, agreed to a 4-year, $12.58 million contract with the Panthers on Thursday. And the Giants have agreed to terms with their first-round pick out of Virginia Tech, David Wilson.

VT's new head men’s basketball coach James Johnson hired Kurt Kanaskie, Mark Byington and Ramon Williams as assistant coaches. Byington has ties to Salem, while Williams is a VMI Hall of Famer. Kanaskie previously coached at Penn State and Navy.

Maryland baseball reached 30 wins for the third time in program history Monday night with their 8-5 win over the top-ranked Seminoles. It was the Terps' ninth win of the season against a ranked team.

For the second game in a row Florida State baseball crushed Maryland 9-2 on Sunday. The Seminoles and Terrapins will square off in the series finale on Monday, May 7 at 7:00 p.m. in a game shown live on ESPNU.

ACC NOW Update: Clemson's Sammy Watkins Arrested
Clemson star receiver Sammy Watkins and men's soccer player Amadou-Tidiane Daniel Dia were arrested Friday on drug-related charges. Watkins was charged with possession of a controlled substance and simple possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors.

UNC has hired former Tar Heels guard and NBA veteran Hubert Davis as an assistant men's basketball coach. He was at UNC from 1988-1992, earning All-ACC honors as a senior and setting the Tar Heel record for three-point percentages at 197 out of 453.

Boston College men's basketball reportedly picks up Notre Dame transfer Alex Dragicevich‎. The sophomore played in all 34 games this past season, starting 10 of those contests. He averaged 20.9 minutes and 6.6 points per game.
